About Us
At Roots & Grounds, we aim to make a positive impact on the lives of seniors in assisted living facilities by hosting fun, complimentary workshops for residents.

Our Events
Our special events are typically one hour long and give an introduction to indoor plants followed by a hands-on, beginner-level, plant propagation activity on creating a simple potted green plant that participants can take with them.
“Our residents at Trulee Evanston absolutely love the workshops hosted by Roots & Grounds. Nora brings such wonderful energy, patience, and creativity to each visit. We’ve had two planting workshops so far, and both were engaging, hands-on, and accessible for all ability levels. It’s so impressive to see a young leader create such meaningful intergenerational programming. We’re already looking forward to having Nora back for more planting and seasonal crafts in the future!”
